De TU Eindhoven en de UT zijn een pilot gestart om overtallige internationale bachelorstudenten chemische technologie over te halen om naar Enschede te gaan. Het loopt alleen nog geen storm in Twente.

Voor docent van het jaar Bas Borsje (civiele techniek) draait het om drie dingen in zijn onderwijs: moeilijke dingen begrijpelijk maken, enthousiasme voor het vakgebied en aandacht geven aan studenten. ‘Wij leiden ingenieurs op die verder kijken dan alleen de techniek.’

For Teacher of the Year Bas Borsje (Civil Engineering), teaching revolves around three things: making complex concepts accessible, fostering enthusiasm for the field, and giving students genuine attention. ‘We educate engineers who look beyond technology alone.’
