Universitair hoofddocent Janine Post verdedigt op 20 oktober als eerbetoon aan de overleden promovendus Sakshi Kannan postuum haar proefschrift. Zij overleed vorig jaar januari in het kraambed. ‘Sakshi was in alles op weg een zelfstandig wetenschapper te zijn.’

Associate professor Janine Post will posthumously defend the doctoral thesis of the late PhD candidate Sakshi Kannan on 20 October as a tribute to her. She died in January last year during childbirth. ‘In every respect, Sakshi was on her way to becoming an independent scientist.’
De Alumnus
Een vliegende auto? UT-alumnus Henk-Jan van den Hoorn vond het zelf ook klinken als sciencefiction. Toch stapte hij in 2016 bij het bedrijf PAL-V binnen om mee te werken aan de ontwikkeling van dit bijzondere voertuig. ‘De technische kennis die ik opdeed aan de UT was heel waardevol.’
De Alumnus
A flying car? UT alumnus Henk-Jan van den Hoorn thought it sounded like science fiction too. Yet in 2016, he joined PAL-V to help develop this remarkable vehicle. ‘The technical knowledge I gained at UT was very valuable.’
