The battle for the student seats in the University Council is once again between parties UReka and The Ambitious Student. The UT-wide election week will take place between 16 and 20 June.

There are no new parties that have applied for a seat in the central participation body of the UT, the University Council. As a result, long-serving parties UReka (since 2001) and The Ambitious Student (DAS for short, since 2015) are once again deciding how the nine available student seats will be distributed. For years, the ratio has been six to three respectively, in favour of UReka.

This year there are only elections for students. There are also employee elections every two years, but they already took place last year. All nine employee seats in the University Council were occupied by the only party that was electable: Campus Coalition.

Once again, the UT is holding one university-wide election week. This phenomenon has existed since 2023, in which UT employees can vote for both the central participation (the University Council) and the decentralised participation (faculty and service councils).
