‘Strict measures, while we’re reporting a 12 million euro surplus?’

The University Council raised questions on Wednesday morning about the UT’s current financial situation: while the university expects a multi-million-euro surplus, reorganisations and strict measures are still in place. The Executive Board pointed to differences between the short and long term.

A majority of the University Council voted in favour of the budget for 2025 on Wednesday morning. This is despite a number of major concerns, particularly regarding how realistic the budget is and how concrete the UT's financial measures are.

Protestactie tegen gewelddadige incidenten

Naar aanleiding van een aantal gewelddadige incidenten op de campus, hield een groep demonstranten dinsdagmiddag een protestmars. De actievoerders willen duidelijk maken dat voor geweld, racisme en discriminatie geen ruimte is op de Universiteit Twente.

In response to a number of violent incidents on campus, a group of demonstrators held a protest march on Tuesday afternoon. The activists want to make it clear that there is no room for violence, racism and discrimination at the University of Twente.
