‘UT students did okay in a bad situation’

A ‘quick scan of student wellbeing during COVID-19’ was conducted at the UT in April 2021. Its results show that most University of Twente students have been doing ‘okay’ and were able to adapt to the negative situation. However, they miss social cohesion. ‘For the group that started in 2020 community building activities need to be organized.’

Dashboard to predict regional outbreaks

‘Predicting COVID-19 is close to impossible’

UT professor Nelly Litvak is leading a project developing a COVID-19 dashboard to predict regional outbreaks in the Netherlands. The dashboard should help municipalities make suitable decisions on corona measures. ‘One of the main issues with COVID-19 was that we didn’t have enough knowledge and didn’t know what to do.’
