Free self-tests for COVID-19 available on campus

The University of Twente will keep providing free self-tests for COVID-19 to its students and employees. As of yesterday, self-tests can be picked up at the Garage building on campus.

Until last week, staff and students at higher education institutes could order free self-tests via a dedicated website zelftestonderwijs.nl. This central delivery stopped because the official advice to test preventively on a weekly basis is no longer valid.

However, as the UT also states in its online message, it’s still important to test yourself in case you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms. The university will therefore continue to provide free self-tests in the coming period. You can pick these up during office hours at the Garage building on campus. This building houses the department for mail and logistics. The UT is also considering to have the tests available in other buildings in the near future.

UPDATE. The self-tests are now also available at the service desks of the following buildings: Horst, Carre, Technohal, Ravelijn, Spiegel, Vrijhof, Bastille, Cubicus, Sportcentrum and ITC.
