De UT heeft net zoals enkele andere universiteiten een eigen 'pisser': iemand die zo geheimzinnig mogelijk ‘urinerend’ opereert op de campus. De anonieme eigenaar achter het profiel geeft tekst en uitleg. ‘Je kan veel interessantere dingen doen in de Technohal dan studeren.’

Like several other universities, the UT now has its own ‘pisser’: someone who operates in secret, ‘urinating’ around campus. The anonymous person behind the profile explains the idea. ‘You can do much more interesting things in the Technohal than study.’

Drugsgebruik in Enschede ligt boven het landelijk gemiddelde, maar hoeveel daarvan komt van de UT? Uit de nationale monitor middelengebruik onder studenten blijkt dat dertig procent van de UT-studenten regelmatig een joint rookt en elf procent weleens xtc slikt. Maar het cocaïnegebruik ‘valt mee’.

Drug use in Enschede is above the national average, but how much of that can be attributed to the University of Twente? According to the national Monitor Mental Health and Substance Use among Higher Education Students, thirty percent of UT students regularly smoke a joint, eleven percent occasionally take ecstasy, and cocaine use is ‘relatively limited’.
