UT and FC Twente

The UT recently signed an agreement with FC Twente to cooperate in the area of marketing, PR, organization and management. The Enschede-based soccer club hopes to benefit from the UT’s scientific expertise, while the UT admires the club’s quick ‘Europeanization’ and efforts to preserve its regional identity at the same time. FC Twente became Dutch national champion in 2010 and currently plays in the Europe League. Two faculties, Management and Governance and Health Sciences, already collaborate with the club in the ‘Score in the neighborhood’ project, aimed at helping disadvantaged kids and adults.
