Hands locked for change

African and Western cooperation is key to bringing education to all African children and adults. Before European colonialism, African elders taught their children the skills and rituals that would initiate them into adulthood and help them become contributing members of their community. Today, African children are educated to become world citizens. But the African educational systems face many challenges. Western nations can offer financial aid and expertise, but still struggle with the best approach.
