NewsThe Student Union received international visitors this Friday. A delegation of student unions from the United Kingdom came to see how UT organises student participation. In between, Jim Dickinson, Associate Editor at higher education think tank WonkHe, had time for a short interview.

NewsDe Student Union is genoodzaakt om met ingang van het nieuwe collegejaar bezuinigingsmaatregelen te nemen die alle sportverenigingen treffen. Zij worden gekort op hun subsidie. Ook de Unioncard wordt duurder en er gaat minder geld naar de studenttrainers.

NewsAls het aan dit kabinet ligt, komt er een einde aan gratis of goedkope sport en cultuur op de campus. De zogeheten ‘beleidsregel’ leidt tot zorgen bij betrokkenen op de UT, die grote consequenties voorzien. ‘We verzetten ons tegen dit beleid.’

NewsAls het aan de Student Union ligt, wordt het begrip ‘activisme’ niet meer in de mond genomen. Bij de organisatie maakt het woord plaats voor de termen ‘actief zijn’ en ‘engagement’. Volgens de Student Union roept ‘activisme’ verkeerde associaties op.
NewsIf it is up to the Student Union, the term 'activism' will no longer be used. In the organization, the word makes way for the terms 'being active' and 'engagement'. According to the Student Union, 'activism' evokes wrong associations.
NewsHet is opnieuw niet gelukt een organisatiecommissie te vinden voor Create Tomorrow. De grootschalige studentendenktank gaat daarom ook dit academisch jaar niet door. De Student Union is ondertussen bezig met een vernieuwde opzet voor het evenement.
NewsOnce again, an organising committee for Create Tomorrow has not been found. The large-scale student think tank will therefore not take place this academic year. In the meantime, the Student Union is working on a new set-up for the event.
This is the sixth edition of ECIU University Magazine. The ECIU University is a massive joint effort of the ECIU member universities and their regional partners. More than a few hundreds of staff members at the member universities and in the regions are collaborating to making the ECIU University a reality. This magazine showcases several activities of ECIU University and the opportunities to engage with the European University.
