UT to continue leading ECIU until at least 2028

| Martin ter Denge

UT will remain a member of ECIU for the next three years. ECIU is the European network of smaller universities focused on solutions to major societal challenges, and the UT will continue to play a coordinating role.

Earlier this year, the UT reviewed its membership to assess whether an extension was worthwhile. The network has proven to align well with the university’s goals and ambitions. Liv Hassinger, UT’s institutional coordinator for ECIU, is pleased: ‘I am glad the UT recognises the value of ECIU. In the coming years, we want to further expand our activities. That means looking at how we can integrate ECIU courses and principles such as challenge-based learning into existing programmes. More ECIU also means a greater need for support capacity.’

About ECIU
The European Consortium for Innovative Universities (ECIU) is a network of small, mainly technical universities across Europe. They collaborate on research addressing Europe-wide issues, and can also jointly apply for funding.
