The Innovation Lecture 2015, which took place on 2 June 2015 at the University of Twente, included a unique Hi-Tech Fashion event. It was the perfect example to show that ´high tech human touch´ can be applied in many different ways and that it can also be visually striking.

High-tech doesn´t relate only to science and academia, but also to industry and entrepreneurship. However, the fashion show during the Innovation lecture 2015 proved that technology also goes well with clothing.

Fashion of the future

So what happens when high-tech enters the world of fashion? According to designs presented at the Hi-Tech Fashion event, this combination might result in clothes capable of motion tracking or improving your posture. The fashion of the future could also take advantage of 3D printing and clothes could be made with the help of an industrial 3D body scan. LED dresses and wearable solar were also on the menu. If neither of these options are your style, perhaps you´d be interested in some avant-garde garments that might remind you of certain films featuring hunger and games.
