Costs and benefits distribution in networked IT projects

Next Friday, Silja Eckartz will defend her PhD. For the past 4 years, the German doctoral candidate has worked on methods to improve cost estimations and benefits management for large IT projects in networks.

Silja: ‘It is very complex to fairly distribute costs and benefits amongst different partners in a network IT implementation’. iDEAL is an example of such a network. According to Eckartz, the main findings of her research are the importance of anonymity and simplicity. ‘I developed a method that keeps the project partners focused on the important things. Also, it enables partners to anonymously bid what they want to invest. This trick has proven to be very helpful.’

Onderzoeksproject ENHANCE sluit af met festival

Festival Voices in Motion, op 10 juni bij Boerderij Bosch, markeert het slotakkoord van het driejarige Europese project ENHANCE. UT'ers Jamila Blokzijl en Maya van den Berg zijn betrokken bij de organisatie. ‘Het is een conferentie in festivalstijl.’

The Voices in Motion festival, taking place on 10 June at Boerderij Bosch, marks the grand finale of the three-year European ENHANCE project. UT researchers Jamila Blokzijl and Maya van den Berg are involved in organising the event. ‘It’s a conference in a festival format.’

Collegegeld stijgt naar 2.771 euro

Per september 2027 gaan studenten hoogstwaarschijnlijk 2.771 euro collegegeld betalen voor hun opleiding aan een hogeschool of universiteit. Dat blijkt uit nieuwe cijfers van statistiekbureau CBS over de inflatie.
