Independent journalism at the University of Twente
Vijf UT-onderzoekers krijgen een Veni-subsidie van de Nederlandse organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek (NWO). Het gaat om Ron Gill (vakgroep Nanobiophysics, MIRA), Arie van Houselt (Catalic Processes and Materials, MESA+), Sarthak Misra (Control Engineering, MIRA), Anne Remke (Design and Analysis of Communication Systems, CTIT) en Jeroen Rouwkema (Biomechanical Engineering, MIRA). Zij krijgen elk 250 duizend euro waarmee ze drie jaar onderzoek kunnen doen.
In totaal keerde NWO aan 161 onderzoekers een Veni uit. De Veni is de laagste subsidie uit de Vernieuwingsimpuls van NWO en bedoeld voor jonge getalenteerde wetenschappers. De twee andere subsidies zijn de Vidi (voor ervaren postdocs) en Vici (zeer ervaren onderzoekers).
