Official opening International Week

University of Twente and the world; what is our position in an international perspective? Students and employees, Dutch and foreigners, everyone is welcome at the breakfast with rector Frans van Vught which will also be the opening of the International Week. During this free breakfast (international) students and staff will be given the opportunity to voice their opinions in English about the (competetive) position of the UT in the world: how high are our academic standards compared to foreign countries? Is Bachelor-Master going to attract more foreign students to Enschede, or are the Dutch themselves going to explore the world? €400k grant for research on misleading washing practices

UT researcher Marielle Stel has been awarded a €400,000 grant by the Dutch Research Council (NWO) within the Open Competition M scheme (SSH). Together with colleagues Ariana Need, Michel Ehrenhard, and Menno de Jong, she will investigate why consumers often fail to recognise so-called washing practices, misleading marketing techniques.

Financiële impuls voor regionaal citizen science-netwerk

De Universiteit Twente ontvangt vierhonderdduizend euro voor de verdere ontwikkeling van PRO BONO, een regionale samenwerking op het gebied van burgerwetenschappen. Dat maakte subsidievertrekker, de Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek (NWO), vandaag bekend.
