Collegevoorzitter Vinod Subramaniam haalde maandagochtend tijdens het nieuwjaarsontbijt in de Ravelijn vurig uit naar het politieke debat over internationale instroom en riep op tot verbondenheid. ‘Ongeacht afkomst, wij maken samen deze universiteit tot wat het is.’
Over five hundred students and staff members gathered for an online New Year's reception on Monday morning. ‘We hope to organise physical activities again as soon as possible', said Rector Tom Veldkamp during the meeting. ‘No Covid outbreaks have occurred here. We have a good track record.’
Ruim vijfhonderd UT’ers schoven maandagmorgen aan voor een online nieuwjaarsreceptie. ‘We hopen zo snel mogelijk weer fysieke activiteiten te organiseren’, zei rector Tom Veldkamp tijdens de bijeenkomst. ‘Hier zijn geen corona-uitbraken geweest. Onze track record is goed.’

Over 1,200 employees and students came together at the annual New Year’s Breakfast in the Vrijhof today. A few of them received more than wishes for a good year. The UT Media Prizes were awarded at the event, with the first prize going to Professor Arjen Hoekstra who appeared in media 264 times in 2018.
