The faculties ET, ITC and BMS are working on a new master's programme called Humanitarian Engineering. The first students are to start their studies in 2024. ‘Though it is a technical curriculum, we do not focus only on engineering students.’
The University of Twente is starting a new joint Master programme GEM (Geo-information Science and Earth Observation for Environmental Modelling and Management) together with three other universities. First students will start the programme in September 2021.
The UT offers a new educational programme, called ‘Shaping Responsible Futures’. This six months long extracurricular programme is facilitated by DesignLab and is open to all Master students at the university. The pilot edition will start in November.
Nelleke van Adrichem-Rotteveel is not your typical PhD candidate. She’s conducted her doctoral research on ‘flexibility and coherence of Master’s programmes’ only in her spare time. Which is why it took her ten years of hard work to complete her thesis which she is defending today.
From September 2017 onwards, the master's programme of the ITC faculty will encompass a two-year programme, replacing the current 18 month-programme. This is in line with other master's programmes across the UT and will ease the work pressure that students are currently experiencing.
