A nap in the library? It is possible!

| Redactie

In the university library, a sleeping cabin has recently been installed, where tired students and staff can ‘nap’ for 20 minutes. The idea comes from the University Innovation Fellows (UIF) program and was conceived by students.

Frequent flyers may know the cabins from airports, where travelers who need to pass time can do so in a sleeping pod.

The sleeping machine was partly funded by a grant from the UIF program and should contribute to the well-being of UT students and employees. They can try the cabin without obligation now; a tool to reserve the device for twenty minutes will follow soon. 'This is because the cabin is intended for short naps, not sleeping in for hours. The number of cabins may be expanded upon positive feedback from students and staff,' says Viktoriia Konashchuk, one of the initiators.
