Discussion about work pressure among PhDs

| Redactie

Doctoral candidates face unique challenges and stressors compared to other UT employees. Studium Generale, in collaboration with U-Today and P-NUT, is therefore organizing a discussion about work pressure among PhDs. The event will take place on 13 April in Vrijhof.

The event, titled ‘Under pressure: Work load of PhDs’, aims to monitor work pressure among the doctoral candidates at the UT. The discussion is open to anyone who would like to share their experiences with work pressure, whether they experience it first-hand or witnessed it with colleagues.

UT rector Tom Veldkamp and HR director Hans Oeloff will also attend in order to listen to the shared stories and evaluate what the university can do to improve the situation. Other guests include Clément Lezane (PhD candidate), Arjenne Louter (PhD trainer), Marieke Huisman (PhD supervisor) and Minke Klomp (Manager Twente Graduate School).

The work pressure discussion for PhD/EngD will be held from 16:00 Amphitheater in the Vrijhof building. Anyone can register and attend for free. More information can be found here.
