Create Tomorrow will be online

This year’s edition of Create Tomorrow will be held online on the 29th of May. The physical event had to be canceled due the COVID-19 outbreak, but the student think tank will be organized in a digital form.

Create Tomorrow 2020 was originally scheduled for April and later postponed to October because of the corona crisis. Now a new date and form have been announced: the event will take place online at the end of May.

The concept remains the same. For 24 hours (from Thursday evening to Friday evening), students work in teams of 4-8 people and think of solutions to cases posted by participating companies. The goal is to come up with innovative ideas that help the companies during and after the corona crisis. At the end of the day, each company chooses their case winner and an independent jury nominates the overall winner. The winning team will take home € 1000.

The think tank will include challenges from different sectors. For example, the province of Overijssel and Rijkswaterstaat have already promised to bring in a case, as have ECIU-University and VolkerWessels Telecom. Twente hospitals MST and ZGT are joining forces and will also present a challenge to the students.

Create Tomorrow is in het voorjaar van 2023 terug van weggeweest. De studentendenktank stond na drie jaar van fysieke afwezigheid en een gebrek aan nieuwe bestuurders op losse schroeven. Peter Dieleman (20), student technische geneeskunde, pakte de handschoen op en hoopt oude tijden te doen herleven.

Create Tomorrow will return in the spring of 2023. The student think tank was in jeopardy after three years of physical absence and a lack of new committee members. Peter Dieleman (20), a technical medicine student, rises up to the challenge and hopes to revive old times.

Meer regie voor vrouwen met diagnose voorstadium van borstkanker

Vrouwen die gediagnosticeerd worden met DCIS (Ductaal Carcinoma In Situ), een voorstadium van borstkanker, kunnen in het ziekenhuis overbehandeld worden. Met het project Direct-DCIS, dat vorige week werd afgetrapt, wil de UT daar verandering in brengen.
