Kid's Paradise

| Redactie

Although it catered to all ages, the UT's Open House Day held last Saturday, which attracted thousands of visitors, was in particular a kid's paradise. Apart from having access to numerous air pillows to release excess energy, kids could become certifiable professors for one day, after following a lecture by university professor. Young visitors conducted scientific tests in labs and engaged in sporting and relaxation activities. Other visitor options included watching huge robot spiders walking about and climbing the Carillion tower to chime its bells.  Tired visitors could recharge their batteries with a free coffee in a tent opposite the Vrijhof building or drink alcohol-free cocktails, an initiative of the 'Happy Fris' Foundation, aimed at reducing alcohol abuse among youngsters.
