Number of foreign students on the rise

The number of foreign students studying in the Netherlands rose from 7% to 10% over the past five years, according to figures released by the Dutch international education organization Nuffic. Last academic year one in ten students at Dutch research universities came from abroad. Most foreigners are Germans at the top of the list with 46%, followed by China and Belgium. The total number of foreign students in the Netherlands is 81,700 who come from 61 different countries.
