Dutch Mega-U

| Redactie

What happens when you take Leiden University and add to it Rotterdam Erasmus University and Delft University of Technology? You get BIG. Discussions between the Executive Boards of the three universities are underway to create a ‘mega’ university over a period of six to eight years. Reports suggest after the merger, the ‘new’ Leiden University would have as many as 55,000 students and more than 11,500 staff. A mega university could attract foreign students to the country which now receives more than 50,000 international students every year. Most foreign students studying in the Netherlands come from Germany, China, Belgium, Spain and France. For more info, see Dutch Mega University.
