The annual open-air ‘Art in the Volkspark’ event begins on June 12. Join in the latest craze: wild knitting and prepare a knitted article to decorate the park’s trees, fences, benches and bins. Send your creations to the local newspaper Tubantia, P.O. Box 28, 7500 AA Enschede or deliver it to Getfertsingel 41. Alternatively, join a group of knitters at a gathering held on Wednesday 11 May from 11am to 4pm at restaurant De Jaargetijden in Enschede’s Volkspark.
