From crisis to success

Joop Munsterman, FC Twente’s Chairman and Wegener Press’ former CEO, spoke for two hours on ‘governance in business and sports’ in the Waaier on Wednesday 30 March. Munsterman focused on how to turn organizational failures into success. He emphasized the importance of a strong ‘goal-orientedness,’ being a ‘learning organization’ and of putting ‘culture before structure.’ Hired managers need to fit the existing and needed company culture, according to Munsterman. Finally, forty percent of managers in business organizations should be female. The Institute for Innovation and Governance Studies (IGS) organized the lecture.
