Do you enjoy drinking beer, but sometimes regret its alcohol-induced effects? Or can you not consume beer because you are usually the assigned driver in your group of friends? To stimulate ‘responsible’ alcohol intake, local beer producer Grolsch has relaunched its once famous ‘Stender’ beer, as an alternative to standard beer. Low in calories but allegedly rich in taste, the pale lager contains just 0.5% alcohol by volume. The Enschede-brewed beer will be available at supermarkets and served in most pubs in Twente and beyond, from 23 March onwards.
