Dies Natalis focus on sustainability

The 50th Dies Natalis of Twente University is dedicated to the topic of sustainable science. The ceremony will be held this year in the Waaier building on Friday, 26 November.

Hans Bressers, professor of policy studies and environmental policy at the Faculty of Management and Governance, said the anniversary speech is entitled, ‘Cooperation as a sustainability strategy: expand and unite’.
Rector Magnificus Ed Brinksma will open the Dies Natalis at 2pm with a speech on ‘Sustainable Education’ after a reception in the foyer of the Waaier. Following Bresser’s speech, the Rector will award the Professor De Winter prize.

The Queen’s Commissioner Mr. Geert Jansen will present the PhD award. During the ceremony, the Rosenberg Trio will provide musical entertainment and a closing reception will be at 4pm in the atrium of the Ravelijn building. This new building of the School of Management and Governance will be officially opened.
