Landmark Synagogue
Every Wednesday and Sunday afternoon from 11am to 5pm, you can visit the Enschede Synagogue for a small fee. Considered to be one of the most splendid synagogues in Western Europe, it was built in 1928 on the concepts of the famous Amsterdam architect Karel P.C. de Bazel. It is an unusual blend of domed oriental roofs of the Near East combined with typically Dutch brickwork. The Synagogue is located downtown on Prinsestraat 18.
