Last month’s major earthquake in Chile has spurred ESN members to start up a collection for the emergency housing program ‘A Roof for Chili.’ Despite efforts to curb poverty in the country over the past years, most of Chile’s citizens suffered enormous structural damage to their homes and need financial help to rebuild. Organizers of ESN Twente hope to raise funds through donations made by the university community. Contributions for the charity can be placed directly in the ‘Chili money box’ located at the ESN office in the Bastille building and the box will ‘travel’ to all ESN events in the coming weeks.
