Katrin Falk, 22, and Marloes Beerling, 20, greet arriving party goers. `I hope that Dutch students meet international students and everyone has a fun time,' said Falk who is from Hannover, Germany and studies public health at the UT. Falk and Beerling are two of the 25 ESN members who act as mentors for international students helping them acclimate to their new living environment. `I enjoy helping with the introduction event, going on trips, and eating meals with new students,” said Beerling who is Dutch and from Westervoort, studying communications at the UT.

Each woman wore a tailor-made satin toga designed by committee member Danielle Saan. `I bought 50 meters of fabric at the market and started working with it, trying to find the most suitable outfit for each girl,' Saan explained. `Then each girl added her own accessories. It wasn't easy, because normally togas are not very flattering!'
