Thrilled
Danielle Saan, 23, woos the crowd. Besides singing in the .PuntUit! band, Saan also created the committee's six toga costumes and designed all the posters and marketing material. As the creative backbone of the event, Saan is from Amsterdam and does marketing for the AIESEC, helping to generate interest in student internships abroad. `I love to organize events,' she said in the foyer before going on stage at midnight. `I felt that this party was an important initiative to help bring different worlds together and open up the Dutch community. I am thrilled that people liked the idea. Our only downfall was not anticipating the great interest and only having 300 tickets for sale. We didn't know it was going to be this huge! It's a shame that some people were left at the door. The whole idea was to have everybody here.'
