Professor Petra de Weerd-Nederhof will give an inaugural speech on 28 January at 4pm at Vrijhof Amphitheater.
Inaugural speech
For many years, the guiding principle for businesses to innovate was the scientific method known as the gold standard, in other words, best practice. The principle is based on the ideal that there is one ideal way to organize processes of innovation. De Weerd-Nederhof will argue: ‘There is no single organizational form that can guarantee successful innovation all the time.’ She will give the example of Ericsson Enschede that closed its doors for business in 2003 despite they had followed the ‘golden standard.’
