UT research institute CHEPS (Center for Higher Education Policy Studies) has received a European subsidy worth one million Euro. The accepted research proposal in the area of internationalization and globalization of higher educational institutes was evaluated as 'excellent' in Brussels.
The research will run over a two-year period and will be executed by CHEPS with partner institutes in London, Oslo, Porto, Vienna, and Athens. The subjects of research are the changes and innovations that higher educational institutes make in their organizational structure as a reaction to Europeanization, internationalization and globalization of higher education. The research results should lead to recommendations for policy makers and managers in higher education.
The European review committee, which granted the subsidy within the framework of the Action Improving Human Potential and the Socio-Economic Knowledge Base programs, expects the research to contribute to the implementation of the Bologna-statement and to stimulate the integration of policies on higher education in different countries and the development of a coherent higher education in Europe.
