Two weeks ago, drs. H.W. te Beest was appointed successor to Hugo Barbas, the Executive Board member charged with financial affairs, who resigned by 1 April. Until the end of last year Te Beest (50) was a member of the Executive Board of the University of Eindhoven. Two weeks ago, drs. H.W. te Beest was appointed successor to Hugo Barbas, the Executive Board member charged with financial affairs, who resigned by 1 April. Until the end of last year Te Beest (50) was a member of the Executive Board of the University of Eindhoven. His appointment will be effective starting July 1st until January 1st, 2004 with an option on renewal.

Eric van Amerongen, chairman of the Supervisory Board, confirmed the proposed appointment. He and Rector Van Vught called Te Beest a fine candidate who is very familiar with the financial management of a technical university.

Registration for a sporty afternoon is open

On Thursday afternoon, 25 September, the UT staff association, UT Kring, is organising a sporty afternoon full of action, cooperation and fun. The hexathlon will take place on and around the sports fields on campus. Registration for this has been open since this week.
