The UT's Vrijhof Cultuurcentrum asked students of the cultural umbrella organisation Apollo (which represents more than 500 students and 20 cultural societies) to compile the first exhibition of the new year 2002. As Apollo is developing a new cultural policy under the heading Savagely Attractive, that seemed like a good guide to find artists for an exhibition. What kind of art do students find savagely attractive? What fascinates?

Apollo chose seven artists of very different backgrounds: young and somewhat older, self-taught or being educated at the AKI, often or hardly ever been asked to exhibit, from photography to graphic work and everything in between.

The opening, in a savagely attractive fashion no doubt, will be done by Apollo in the exhibition space in the Vrijhof today at 16.30 hr. The exhibition can be seen until 12 February.
