Cultural differences are often a good starting point for talking about and exchanging experiences. However, they may form a communication block, especially if you do not wish to appear superficial. Students who spend a relatively short time in an international environment will surely recognise this paradox. They have to deal with these cross-cultural challenges.

Dealing with cultural differences may be fun and frustrating at the same time.

On Wednesday 31 October at a dinner Toni Kofi, who has a lot of experience in dealing with the paradox of cultural communication, will teach us how to deal with cross-cultural challenges and will explain the backgrounds of various cultural differences in his very own way.

For dinner-tickets go to reception Vrijhof or contact Ivonne Astrid Moreno Horta (e-mail: [email protected]) at ITC. Vegetarian meals will be available too. More information is available at SPe Studentenplein: tel. 053-4892369 or e-mail: [email protected].
