This is Jazz!

Interaction, spontaneity and soulful improvisation between musicians. This is jazz! Every Tuesday evening at 9pm in the Sam Sam Café, located at the Old Market 15/17 in Enschede's city center. The evening begins with the lights dimmed and the opening band playing soulful numbers. Before long, the scene has become students, teachers and anyone joining together, and this is when the real jam session begins. Nine O'Clock Jazz is held weekly for music students and teachers of the ArtEZ Conservatorium, but anyone who is interested may take to the stage and play along. Open to the public and free of admission, these informal jazz sessions have taken place for the last five years. The scene promises every week a new and exciting repertoire of live music for all jazz lovers to engorge themselves in. In continued cooperation with ArtEZ, the evening sessions will be moving completely to Media Art Café Berlijn at Stationsplein 1 in Enschede on Tuesday, October 28, except during school vacations.
