With four honorary doctorates, a new artwork and a campus full of alumni, the UT celebrated its postponed sixtieth anniversary last week. This is the Dies Natalis through the lens of photographers Eric Brinkhorst and Annabel Jeuring.

Spreek je uit voor meer klimaatactie én voor het behoud van een internationale universiteit met het Engels als lingua franca. Dat was de boodschap van Eurocommissaris Frans Timmermans tijdens de 61e dies natalis van de UT. ‘Maar sluit niemand uit in het debat hierover.’

Speak up for climate action and for the preservation of an international university with English as the lingua franca. That was the message of European Commissioner Frans Timmermans during the 61st dies natalis of the UT. ‘However, do do not exclude anyone from the debate on this.’

De dies natalis van de UT is uitgesteld naar 20 mei 2022, vanwege het oplaaiende coronavirus en de bijbehorende maatregelen. De Week of Inspiration gaat wel door, maar in een uitgeklede vorm.

Wetenschapsquiz voor en door de UT

Tijdens de Week van Inspiratie vindt er op woensdag 24 november een wetenschapsquiz plaats voor studenten, medewerkers en bedrijven. De organisatie is in handen van Studium Generale en KIVI Students Twente, waarvan UT-studente Lieke Pullen voorzitter is. ‘Het belooft een leuke avond te worden.’

During the Week of Inspiration, a science quiz for students, employees and companies will take place on Wednesday, November 24. The organization is in the hands of Studium Generale and KIVI Students Twente, of which UT student Lieke Pullen is president. 'It promises to be a fun evening,' she says.
