Episode 26: Easy Rice Smurry

Only four basic ingredients needed for this super easy dish! Even those at the very bottom of the food (cooking) chain can make this 'Easy Rice Smurry' without too much hassle. Check out episode 26 of Rianne's Recepten here!

Ingredients (serving 4 people)

  • 300-400 g rice
  • 2 leek
  • 500 g shoarma
  • 1 can Mushroom base for soup (it is ESSENTIAL it is this red can specifically)
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 TS Sambal (optional)


  1. Cook the rice. Cut and wash the leek thoroughly.
  2. Fry the leek with some salt and pepper (not too much on the salt as the shoarma and mushroom soup are quite salty). Fry for a few minutes before adding the shoarma.
  3. Fry until it is cooked well. Add the sambal and stir to combine. Add the soup base. When all is cooked and hot it is done.
