What is Green Vibrations festival?

‘It takes place every year on Hemelvaart (Ascension) day, which is a Dutch national holiday. It is a music festival, but it also features many other artistic and cultural activities. Aside from that, there are stands selling food, clothes or accessories. Simply, the festival offers a lot of things for people to enjoy throughout the whole day and we expect between two and three thousand people to come.’

What performances can people look forward to?

‘There are four stages with different styles and performers. South stage will host small and large bands playing everything from folk to punk. East focuses on the future with music like bass, trap and drum ‘n bass. West is about house and techno with some psychedelic twists in between, while North is a mixture of all styles.’

How is the festival organized?

‘Green Vibrations is a non-profit organization; the whole event is organized by a large number of volunteers. All the money we make goes right into the next year´s festival. The entrance fee is 16 EUR at presale and the visitors will get a free 0.4l cup with Green Vibration print at the gate, which they can fill up for the same price as for a normal sized drink.‘

When and where is the festival taking place?

‘The festival opens at 2pm on Thursday, the 29th of May, at the UT campus and will last until midnight. However, our partner Atak, which hosts stage South, will also host an afterparty beginning at 11pm and ending at 4am. For more information, you can visit our Facebook page.’
