Dandiya is traditional folk dance of Western India, specially performed during Navaratri festival in October. The event saw participation from Indian students from UT, Saxion and ITC. Indian families living in and around city of Enschede added to the homely environment of the event. Small workshop was conducted to teach people unfamiliar of the dance form with sticks. This was followed by dance sessions in group and couples. Prizes were awarded to Best Individual, couple, international student performances and also best traditional wear. Indian festive food (Dabeli, Samosa, Jamum etc.) was served as everyone danced to Indian Movie (Bollywood) songs. Dandiya event is an important part of ISA calendar as it gives an opportunity to enjoy a part of Indian culture in an truly international environment.

Next activity of the association is the Mega-Annual event - 'Diwali - Festival of Lights' to be held on the evening of 9th November 2013, at UT Campus.
