Five students from the University of Twente are currently in Olympos, Turkey to train their brain. Four first-year students and a Masters student are participating in an ESTIEM event called Brain Trainer. ESTIEM is the organisation for European Students of Industrial Engineering and Management, who combine technological understanding with management skills. The six-day event includes training in communication, change management and idea development. Hard work during the day will be combined with networking and socialising in the evening programme. Traditionally, one evening activity is the international night, where the participants present typical food and drinks from their home country. There are 30 students attending from abroad hosted by an organisation team of 23 Turkish students from University Ankara-Bilkent. Attendees include students from Turkey, Germany, the Netherlands, Serbia and Greece and trainers from Sweden, Italy and Turkey.
