Independent journalism at the University of Twente
After the first coming exam week you definitely need a break to relax and forget about all the stress before the second exam week starts. Here is the recipe for you; experience the balfolk at the University of Twente, where you can listen to live music from Erik de Jong and El peppah while learning traditional folk dances.
Basically a balfolk is a dance festival with live folk music. You dance in couples and in a big group. Talent or experience are not required; you will have fun anyway. The organizers offer a special introduction lesson right before the event, which offers you the opportunity to get a crash course in the special folk dance style.
