The UT and Kennispark Twente put an eight pages long promotional 'newspaper' in yesterday's Metro, a free daily Dutch newspaper. The 'mini-edition', entitled 'Future in Twente. Study, Enterprise, Innovate', informs readers of life in Twente, from scientific programs, facilities like the Nano lab to life on campus through narrated students' experiences. 'We have our own hairdresser, supermarket and pub. It's like a village in a city. Always there is something going on', detailed Ali Mokarram, an undergraduate in European Studies, for example. Besides informing readers of what is happening in Twente generally, the advertisement aimed to attract prospective students to the UT's upcoming Bachelor and Master Open Days, which are being held on 18 and 19 November and 23 November respectively.
