The Female Faculty Network organizes a workshop entitled ‘Assertiveness; how to convince others’ on Tuesday 1 November. Taught by Erna Lankhorst, the workshop explores the art of persuasion. For starters, Lankhorst will reveal in her lecture: in order to convince others, it’s crucial to first convince ones’ self by using a set of communication skills, including non-verbal signals. The workshop will cover how to present a concise message, discuss the role emotions play in persuasion and address the need to stay relaxed and attune to the thoughts and ideas of others.
