Ehrenhard wins prize

| Redactie

The Best Dissertation Selection Committee for the Public and Nonprofit Division of the Academy of Management recently awarded research associate Michel L. Ehrenhard the top prize for his paper titled ‘The Structuration of Managing for Results’.

He conducted in-depth field studies at two Dutch ministries. The researcher developed propositions on the behavior of middle managers in the Dutch central government based on his data results. What was discovered in his research study was that behaviors of mindfulness and bricolage play a central role in successful change efforts at the middle management level.

The committee invited the researcher to attend a meeting in Montreal next August, where he will be awarded the prize by the selection committee. Ehrenhard’s promoters were Professors Celeste Wilderom and Dennis Muntslag. He defended his dissertation in April 2009.
