In a display of true sportsmanship and flexed muscles, international students from ten institutes competed in the 32nd International Education Sports Day on 10 April in the Sports Center at the University of Twente in Enschede. Over 600 students from all over the Netherlands competed in various sports, including volleyball, basketball, badminton, table tennis, soccer, chess, darts and running. The annual competition has grown in popularity since its beginnings in 1980. Just ten years ago only 350 student athletes competed in the event. Clinching the victory on Saturday, Rotterdam’s Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies won first place. This year’s host, the university’s ITC Faculty, came in a respectable second place and Delft University of Technology earned third place.
This seventh edition of the 4TU Career Special is a shared publication by the news editors of Cursor (Eindhoven University of Technology), Delta (Delft University of Technology), Resource (Wageningen University and Research), and U-Today (University of Twente). The magazine came into being in collaboration with industry, and is explicitly aimed towards students who are either in the final phase of their studies, or have just graduated.
