The judging panel selected four project proposals out of the submissions. One of the recipients is Sabrina Carvalho, a PhD candidate at the International Institute for Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation. Carvalho and the other recipients represent a diverse cross section of disciplines utilizing reflectance spectroscopy in the field.

The ASD Inc. announced the recipients for The Alexander Goetz Instrument Support Program 2010. The annual program encourages novel, unconventional and fundamental research, and functions to support graduate students to conduct research with up-to-date equipment as part of their degree programs.
