POW-Ensemble `Songs and Riddles'

POW-Ensemble is led by Luc Houtkamp, last year's winner of the highest prize for jazz in the Netherlands: De Boy Edgar Prize. Through POW Houtkamp explores the musical possibilities of the computer shatters the stereotype that this individualistic, abstract nerd music too often conveys.

FME (Free Music Ensemble)

The American jazz giant Ken Vandermark (saxophone, clarinet) is a prominent figure on the Chicago jazz scene. He is a master of free improvisation jazz at the highest level. Vandermark's trademark style combines short, powerful rifts with subtle, complex expressions. He is joined by Paal Nilsson-Love on drums and Nate McBride on bass.
