Valentine's Dinner?

The international student advisory board, an informal group that interacts with the UT administration about changes and improvements, is seeking members. This outlet for international student input is imperative in improving international education at the UT. The board is sending out a survey during the next weeks to get a clear perspective on international issues. If you respond before the 11th of February, you have a chance to win a free Valentine's Day dinner at the Student Union Café. The board meets once every two months; discussion topics are open and the atmosphere is informal.

De UT blijft ver verwijderd van de doelstelling om eind dit jaar 135 fte aan zogeheten participatiebanen te creëren. Door een wetswijziging dreigt echter geen boete meer, maar kan de universiteit wel een bonus per gecreëerde baan verwachten.

Kritiek op komst Schoof bij OAJ zwelt aan

Meerdere actiegroepen eisen via een open brief een andere spreker bij de opening van het academisch jaar van de UT op 1 september. Ze zijn het niet eens met de komst van Dick Schoof, die volgens de actievoerders medeverantwoordelijk is voor de ‘grootste aanval op het Nederlandse hoger onderwijs deze eeuw’.

Criticism of Schoof's visit to OAJ grows

Several action groups are demanding a different speaker at the opening of the UT's academic year on 1 September. They do not agree with the visit of Dick Schoof, who, according to the activists, is partly responsible for the 'biggest attack on Dutch higher education this century'.
