The new year will not be ushered in on Monday 5 January before the crack of dawn with the usual reception with coffee and traditional currant bread, but later that day with a modern drinks party in the recently opened Faculty Club. On behalf of the Executive Board Huib de Jong will speech to UT-staff and students. The new year's party will start at 16.00 hr and last until 17.30 hr. Afterwards one can (at one's own expense) eat there. Faculties, institutes, departments, service departments: they are all welcome at this new-style opening of the year.
